Practical information regarding angling in the Limfjord

You do not need any special permission to fish in the Limfjord apart from a valid fishing license.

Please pay attention to the protection zones at the mouths of the streams. See map of zones here.

Fishing with live or dead bait fish is allowed in the entire Limfjord area except for trout lakes, however, you must pay attention to local regulations.

The bait fish should come from the same fishing water as the one you are fishing in as bait fish can spread diseases to other fishing waters with devastating effects on the fish stock.

Boat fishing is allowed – there are boat ramps in the local harbours.
